Founded in 1970, Deckwar Tapered Shims is a family-owned business in Ojai, California. The company’s history dates back to 1939, when the first hand-made Paramount Tapered Shims were used in a six-cylinder Oldsmobile engine. Ten years later, the shims and bearings were still in great condition. Today, 80 years later, Deckwar Shims continue to be used in a variety of engines, from automobiles to farm equipment, providing reliable solutions for worn bearings.
